A lesson we should have learned by now. If you absolutely must book your club tickets in advance, don't whatever you do get drunk in the west end the day before your intended club.

We had tickets for space closing on the guestlist but at around 12:30am my mate decides that rather than heading back to the hotel for some well needed sleep after being up since 3am the previous night we'd instead bag a couple of tickets for the Amnesia closing party and go and check that out!

Was absolutely fantastic! We only managed to stick around from about 1-4ish but was the best 3 hours either of us have ever spent in Amnesia. No idea who was playing at the time apart from we couldn't help but spot Micah the violinist (who was brilliant!).

Great bunch of people on the middle of the dancefloor (kudos to the bunch of mexican lads we met, and the lovely spanish girls we were too married and too drunk to talk too :-)) and there was plenty of room to dance. Many bursts of the megatron and 3 hours of solid dancing in the 24 hours we'd been awake were starting to take their toll (we're in our 30s and chemically unassisted at this point) so we headed back to the hotel via a few more come down beers (cheers to the manc in tiffany's staying open for us).

Sad to say we were both too wasted to possibly make the space closing. Ah well can't have everything. Was a fantastic weekend anyway!

The closing party really started at around 7 AM, when the sun was shining in the Terrace and Sven started to play his set, it was absolutely phenomenal, Sven mastered the place like the veteran DJ that he is, dropping melancholic tunes which built the vibe and peculiar minimal beats, peak moment was definitely when he played Joris Voorn's remix of Dark Flower...

sven....pleeeeaaasseee do it again next year...he defo is a professional partyboy, since he is even more wasted then the rest of the dancefloor ...lol...i love it...he never shows any superstar dj behaviour like a lot of the other (not really good) big ibiza names. he is always into it with the people....shame on space for kicking him off many,many years ago just because he wanted to have a good time...best party 2008=amnesia closing by far (u should wait with those awards next year `til everythings done...lol)

Hahahaha this is what happened to me excatly !!! can't believe i missed Space closing when already booked on the guest list cause i was too wasted left Amnesia closing around 10 a.m. said i'll sleep (yeah right) for max few hours and go to space ! slept around 12ish woke up the next day at 7 a.m. !!! i was bumped out but i don't regret Amnesia night seriously my fav. night in the club and this summer .. music was damn good
