Wrong credit card holder!

When we bought our tickets I had someone else paying for them and that person is not coming with into the club. Is it true that it really wont be sufficient to bring the person and the credit card+ID to the door and then just enter? Why does the person have to enter?

Is there any way around this?

it's an anti-fraud measure. the best thing to do is login to my account, cancel and refund the tickets, then purchase with a credit card of someone who is coming.
