pics from ibiza rocks last night
all day i've been trying to think of redeeming features of last nights ibiza rocks - i'm stumped...
their alter-ego of 2manydj's were abysmal - a cr4p wedding dj couldve done better - they'd play an eurthymics intro which got the crowd going and then end it and go into bad euro pop techno leaving the audience going "er ???"
it was completely different to last weeks The Streets - and i'm looking forward to going to see The Holloways at the hotel this weekend for some decent live music, and then the zutons back at the hippodrome next week
anyway, some pics:

Also along for the ride were surprise special guests The Holloways - our respect and gratitude goes out to the bands, the crowd and everyone else who made it so special.

First-up, a massive thanks must go out to both The Zutons and Black Kids for proving last week that they fully warrant their places among Indie Rock's shimmering firmament.
Both bands turned in stellar shows that left the audience grinning from ear-to-ear, beautifically blissed out and chanting the tunes all the way back to the airport.
The final show of the Ibiza Rocks 2008 season is upon us and this year we're going out with a bang you could measure on the Richter Scale.
Guaranteed to boom, boom and most definitely shake the room are drum and bass gods Pendulum - their live show truly is the stuff of legend.
Representing the UK will be scalding hot electro outfit The Whip. This Manchester band are doing the legendary city proud and blowing up fast. Not one to miss.
Finally, rounding out one of the finest bills you're ever likely to see anywhere, are the soon-to-be-massive Iglu & Hartly. Trust us - where this LA band goes, the party soon follows. We'd bet their shirts on them being household names within the year if they ever wore any.
There're also the usual top notch DJs, Steve Aoki and Doorly, on hand to keep the party rocking with all your Ibiza favourites.
The venue is the mighty Hipodromo and we'll be laying on free buses leaving from Bar M from 6.30pm, plus free return buses back to the afterparty, which starts at Bar M and then moves back the hotel.
No excuses will be accepted for missing this final blow out and, with VIP tickets already sold out, anyone wanting in must move fast.
Click here to snap up the final few tickets.
To cushion your descent back into the gloom of the British winter Sony Ericsson and Ibiza Rocks have cherry picked all the best bits of the 2008 season for you to watch and enjoy here in the UK.
That's right; live gig footage, exclusive band interviews and backstage gossip from Europe's favourite beachside rock-fest is available only at www.ibizarocks.com/live, thanks to Sony Ericsson.
You can also get updates on your mobile, just text ROCK to 84118 to visit our WAP site. Standard text rates will apply.
The next X-Box Weekender stars Zane Lowe, Mystery Jets and Cuban Brothers.
Priority entry wristbands will be available from the Ibiza Rocks Hotel and shop, the Ibiza Rocks shop at Bar M plus at the Ibiza Rocks closing party and Manumission closing party on Sept 12th.
Just a reminder to make sure you all remember that the final few nights of fun at Ibiza Rocks this year also include the visit of the Snowbombing crew for a monster rocking party that's going by the name of Beachbombing.
We'll be shaking the foundations of the Ibiza Rocks Hotel loose with a cranked up mixture of live performance, DJ sets and general craziness from the Beachbombing crew, including star turns from Krafty Kuts, The Whip, Todd Terje, Greg Wilson, Barry Peters, Russ Cuban, Freestylers and many more.
It all goes off on September 17-21.
Get your tickets right here and strap yourself in for a wild ride.
Your friend went to Ibiza and all you got was a lousy t-shirt?
Side-step this common holiday faux pas with a visit to the Ibiza Rocks online store.
Click here now to wrap yourself in the glory of the Ibizan party spirit all year round with our complete range of Ibiza Rocks clothing and merchandise.
See you on the dancefloor. One last time!

ibiza rocks tonight:
even if we all thought it would rain tonight, weather has been fine and ibiza rocks
finished in style..... i have been told they sold more tickets in advance online for the
closing than for any of their previous parties (the double apparently). i missed the
whip when they played at the first xbox weekender in july so, after the very positive
comments i heard back then, i really fancied seeing them live... they didnt disappoint
at all. the apotheosic finale arrived with pendulum and their drum&bass with guitars,
who created the most frantic mosh pit we have seen during the whole season.
i really gonna miss these gigs..... what we gonna do now on tuesdays?

Another season of Ibiza Rocks with Sony Ericsson has come to a close.
Massive thanks to everyone who made it so special - from the mightiest superstars that bestrode the stage to the hordes of sun seeking revellers who came from far and wide to join us.
In particular we'd like to thank our triumphant triumvirate of party starters Pendulum, The Whip and Iglu & Hartly who saw the season off in style at our closing party last week.
Judging from the crowd they're all welcome to return so expect to see them back on the White Island sometime in the future. We may be packing things up on the White Island but we're still heating up the small screen with Ibiza Rocks TV.
Keep watching 4music and Channel 4 each Wednesday and Thursday night for all new Ibiza Rocks action from the 2008 season.
And don't forget you can also relive the season at ibizarocks.com/live, where we'll be posting exclusive interviews and other highlights from the summer. We're pleased to announce that in response to overwhelming public demand the Ibiza Rocks Hotel is already taking bookings for next year.
Book before December 31st and you could get a shared room for as little as £10 per person, per night.
You can also book rooms with guaranteed views of the pool and stage - watch your favourite bands from your balcony!
Click here now to wrap yourself in the glory of the Ibizan party spirit all year round with our complete range of Ibiza Rocks clothing and merchandise. Thanks once again for all your support - we'll be in touch soon with more Ibiza Rocks news and we'll also be after your feedback on what's been another great summer. Don't forget that Beachbombing goes down this week (Wednesday September 17 - Sunday September 21s). Visit www.beachbombing.com for full details and ticket info.
