BRUNO FROM IBIZA will NOT be DJing at the CAFE DEL MAR this summer. He explained to me: “After eight years as resident DJ, plus compiling more than ten albums for the bar, I am not playing. I felt I was not motivated anymore and was initially thinking to play just once a week, however we didn't agree on terms and conditions so I feel that it's time for me to leave (association with the Café) and concentrate on my own project.” Bruno will play SPACE weekly, has regular dates at cool island venues like BLUE MARLIN, ATZARO and EL AYOUN, plus has compiled his own collection, entitled ‘OSMOZ’, which is available from the end of June. Other production work includes the ‘ETERNAL GROOVE EP’, an electro-house cut that is only available on VINYL (a strike for old fashioned DJ values!), plus the ‘ISLAND EP’, which is a LOUNGE piece, made available on i-TUNES.

RYAN O’GORMAN is also launching a new venture with JOE UPTON (the third part of NASTYDIRTYSEXMUSIC, though DJ’s TIM SHERIDAN & SMOKIN JO received most of the acclaim on that one). Their new event is called VITALIK and LUCIANO ESSE and GEDDES have joined as other DJ residents alongside promised “amazing guests”. VITALIK will put on free happenings all over the island, though will for sure hold daytime events at BLUE MARLIN on Cala Jondal.

Wonderworld findet an den jeweils letzten Freitagen der Monate Juli, August und September in der wohl schönsten Beach-Venue der Insel, dem Blue Marlin in der Cala Jondal, statt.

The most beautiful bay in the south of white Ibiza island is the unforgettable Cala Jondal. Cristal clear water, a bright and shiny sky and the natural surrounding of rough rocks gives this place a magical atmosphere. Driving from the airport in the direction to Sant Josep it is easy to get there and many choose this beautiful spot for relax and chill out. The extravagant beach club Blue Marlin is located directly in the middle of the bay and offers large wooden beds, fresh juices, Mediterranean food and an endless view. Wonderworld will host the venue the last Fridays in July, August and September with some exclusive sunset dance parties which continue into the early morning hours under the open sky with house and electro minimal sounds. We start from 19.00 and everybody should be aware that Wonderworld artists stand for massive musical enjoyment and make you dancing until you loose ground. Daytime dancing is the desire of so many Ibiza maniacs, but since Bora Bora (and Spa
ce, of course) is the only spot for partying by the sea and under the sun, these three dates will mark a new and necessary step on the Ibiza party map.

History:
Wonderworld ist eine Eventreihe mit Wurzeln in Stuttgart (Partys in: Le Fonque, Club Finca, Wild West und The Paris), die in der Sommersaison 2005 zum ersten Mal erfolgreich auch auf der Partyinsel Ibiza gelauncht wurde (Club Love, Ex-Somny).

Hinter der Veranstaltungsreihe Wonderworld steht die Journalistin und Eventmanagerin Friederike Diestel, die seit sechs Jahren während des Sommers auf Ibiza lebt und arbeitet, u.a. als VIP-Betreuerin (El Divino, 2003), PR-Teamleiterin (Space, 2005, 2006), PR-Beraterin (u.a. George Morel, Tom Novy) und seit 2003 mit ihren Veranstaltungen im Stuttgarter Raum unterwegs ist.

Spotlight 3 Sentence Review

The debut Wonderworld party officially started at 8pm but we got down to Blue Marlin a few hours before that to have a swim and sink a coupe of copas de vino. Location-wise Wonderland are onto a winner - being at Blue Marlin makes me feel like a lucky man.

I'll be there for the next one on Friday August 25.
