Ryanair - I love em.
Going to Beni again for 5 days in December. 50 quid return from Leeds.
I keep seeing the posts running Ryanair down - but I love em.
Basically they could beat me with sticks for the duration of the flight and it would still be value.

Just a joke, I'm sure, but we wouldn't fly with them again.

Travelled with them several times, never had a problem so I'm quite happy. However, I'm guessing that the first time I have a problem, I'll probably moan about them as well.
For me, the cheap price outweighs most niggles about them. I travel to benidorm often and so the cheap prices are great for me. However, if i had only one holiday a year, I would travel with a more expensive airline just in case something went wrong.

Used Ryanair several times and I have always been pleased..
However in past 12 months travelling from Birmingham Monarch has been cheaper in most cases.!, always worth a shop round..
Saying that I leave for benidorm on Tuesday this week on Thomson. £42 one way..

It does not matter who you go with if it is one way great feeling when the plane is taxiing on the runaway ready for take off.
Pardon my ignorance and intrusion are you Staffs1959 coming to live/work here?.
If so may i wish you all the best.

£50?!!
God you are SO lucky to have got your flights for that price, I was looking for a flight at the end of June flying from Prestwick and was quoted £230 EACH, plus they also wanted £24 for the privelege of paying with my OWN card...can't get over it!!

'Bummer' for you that time cazandvaz! We flew with Ryanair recently and I was really apprehensive about it! I was surprised that the flight was 'on the ball' so to speak as we had no hassle at all! Flight on time - actually early on arrival at destination, both ways. My only wee gripe would be:
'Why no net bag on the seat-back?' I'd nowhere to keep my sweeties or Irn Bru once onboard and taken out of the 'one bag' policy!
Probably, most folk treat the carrier like a bus and are wise to there not being any net bags on the backs of the seats.

I always assumed the no net was to speed up the security checks once everyone is off and before the next passangers get on. It also gives a wee bit extra leg room so no complaints from me.

Ryanair have vexed me indirectly. Thirteen ladies going to Dublin on a Hen weekend failed to check in online. Each has £60 to pay. Thieves

I read about a lady who had paid for a flight home with Ryanair. She was asked to leave the plane because they were overbooked and she was the only one travelling alone. She wouldn't budge, so they offered anyone 400 Euros to take a later flight. One man accepted.

Travel news this week
Hate to be the bearer of bad news but I understand that Ryanair are about to add surcharges.
Apparently Spanish airport authorities have increased their charges to airlines and so far only Ryanair have decided to pass it on to passengers. The amount is still being discussed. Other airlines are considering it.
I don't understand why all Spanish flights may be affected because as far as I heard, only Madrid & Barcelona airports are increasing their fees.
Does anyone else know any more?
Considering the economic difficulties in Spain, surely this blow to tourism is the last thing you'd think the government would impose.

I've booked to go with Ryanair on 31st August and they've emailed regarding the surcharge. Here's the link they sent me with the information if it's of any help to anyone
